Ron Acker is the owner, director, and CEO for Gallery Sydney-East, a boutique art & design consultancy in Washington, DC and Asheville, North Carolina specializing in corporate and private client sales representing the work of established and newly emerging Australian Aboriginal artists. Ron also is the United States sales representative for works by Asian-Australian artist, Hiromi Ashlin.

Ron's previous employment was as a diplomat with the United States Department of State where he was the editor of its massive technical manual (3000+ pages) on visa policy, a vital national security document that is issued worldwide to US consular officers in the field. He also was honored by the State Department with its highest award for technological innovation for producing the first-ever electronic visa-issuance protocol, which was used to bring in over 30,000 foreign nationals during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.

Ron is an accomplished artist with expert skills in Web design, Internet communication and database development. He possesses superb marketing skills, is highly organized, dedicated, and is a proponent of always engaging people with a positive attitude.

He is an accomplished event planner with competencies in organizing and managing large scale conferences, meetings and seminars and is an internationally respected guest speaker and lecturer.
